Answer guide

What content is banned on MinuteFame — hate, minors, doxxing, scam links — and how do I report something?

Authoritative policy: /rules · /terms · /refunds · /privacy · /contact

Scarcity first

Only one post live at a time. That exclusive public minute is why content rules matter: the whole screen is yours for sixty seconds, so MinuteFame refuses or removes anything that breaks the hard lines. Price enables the stage — £1 for a message or photo on a standard minute (£5 on the five celebration days); £5 for a video on any day (/pricing) — it does not buy the right to put anything on screen (/rules).

Short answer

MinuteFame will refuse or remove content that breaks the hard lines on /rules — including sexual/exploitative content involving minors, sexual content and nudity, hate and harassment, doxxing, scam or malware links, impersonation, trademark/copyright abuse, and certain election or medical claims presented as fact. Illegal content may be reported to the authorities. A refused or removed minute is refunded in full (/refunds). To report something on the board today, email support@minutefame.com — automated pre-checks and a one-tap Report control are being built and are not live yet (/rules, /terms). Immediate danger → local emergency services, not the website.

What is allowed

/rules allows a birthday shout-out, proposal, promo, meme, art, joke, personal message, or short video — if it is yours to post, does not break the hard lines, and fits in 60 seconds. You must own the text, image or video, or have permission. Identifiable real people need their consent.

When you book you confirm “this is mine to post, and it follows the rules” (tick unticked by default) — that is the representation MinuteFame relies on (/rules).

Hard lines (plain English)

Summarised from live /rules — always prefer that page if wording differs:

  1. Minors — Anything sexual, nude, suggestive, exploitative or abusive involving under-18, or that sexualises a minor. Also: a real child’s identifiable photo, name, school, address or contact posted by anyone other than a parent/guardian for a genuine non-sexual family message (and even then may refuse if it puts the child at risk). Illegal content involving a minor is reported to the authorities.
  2. Sexual content and nudity — Pornography, sexual acts, genital or female-nipple nudity, fetish content, sexual services, or solicitation. Intimate images without consent (including “revenge porn”) are refused and, where required, reported.
  3. Hate and harassment — Attacks based on protected characteristics; credible threats, stalking, bullying, or targeted abuse of a named or identifiable person.
  4. Non-consensual personal details / doxxing — Publishing a real person’s photo, name, phone, address, email, workplace or other contact without consent; screenshots of private messages used to send people after someone; publishing private info to intimidate, shame or harm.
  5. Scam or malware links — Phishing, fake giveaways, “investment” or crypto drains, malware, pirated-software keys, or links meant to steal money or data (including URL shorteners used to hide that purpose).
  6. Impersonation — Pretending to be a real person, brand, public figure or official account in a way that would reasonably fool someone.
  7. Trademarks and copyright — Using someone else’s logo, brand, music, film or photo as if yours, or as endorsement. Brief obvious parody that does not pass itself off may be allowed; passing-off is not.
  8. Election and medical claims presented as fact — e.g. a named election was stolen; a named candidate committed a crime; a specific medicine/treatment/vaccine will cure or kill. Get-out-the-vote / “I support X” allowed. Hard-sell cure claims are not.

Also refused (Rules): illegal content (terrorism, incitement, weapons/drugs sale, fraud); graphic violence / real gore / animal cruelty; spam (same/near-same minute booked repeatedly); evasion of rules.

Taste vs hard line: Merely tasteless, badly designed, or a bad joke can stay unless it crosses a hard line (/rules).

/terms restates zero exceptions for sexual/exploitative content involving under-18, and lists examples of refuse/remove/report categories under Acceptable use.

Length, video review, and refunds on refuse

  • Content must fit exactly 60 seconds. Video longer than 60 seconds may be refused; MinuteFame does not silently clip (/rules).
  • Video minutes must be booked at least 24 hours ahead so a person can watch every clip before it airs. If not cleared before its minute, it does not air and is refunded (/rules).
  • Refused or removed minutes are refunded in full to the original payment method (/rules, /refunds).
  • A minute that ran its full 60 seconds as booked and did not break the rules is not refunded for change of mind (/refunds).

How monitoring works today (honest)

/rules and /terms state plainly that full automated pre-checks and a one-tap public Report control are being built and are not claimed as live yet. Today a person reviews on a regular check rather than watching every second. MinuteFame may refuse before air or pull a minute while live (or afterwards on the Wall of Fame) when content breaks policy or the law, or when it is brought to their attention.

MinuteFame does not publish 24/7 AI moderation or response-time commitments.

How do I report something?

Until one-tap Report is live: email support@minutefame.com. For anything serious on the live billboard, say so in the subject line (/contact). Immediate danger → local emergency services.

Hard-line removals are not archived on the Wall of Fame; if already on Wall, taken down (/rules). Wall archive itself is opt-in, default off (/privacy).
