Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

MinuteFame sells one minute of full-screen public display time. Buying a minute means agreeing to this page. Read the highlighted section below first. It is the one that actually matters before you book.

MinuteFame is operated by Workivio Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17225310. Registered office: 4th Floor 45 Fitzroy Street, London, United Kingdom, W1T 6EB.

Before you book, in plain terms

Do not book illegal content. We may refuse a booking, or remove a minute that is already live or on the Wall of Fame, if it breaks the law or the acceptable-use rules on this page, including child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, and material that promotes terrorism. Illegal content may be retained as evidence and reported to the police, the National Crime Agency, the Internet Watch Foundation and/or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as applicable. We do not claim that every minute is pre-screened, monitored around the clock, or that a public Report control is live on every minute. See Acceptable use for the full list and How this is enforced for what we actually do today.

Who can use MinuteFame

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to book a minute or upload content. Content is displayed full-screen to whoever is watching minutefame.com at that moment. It is public the instant it airs. Do not submit content that is sexual, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate involving anyone under 18. That is illegal, is never permitted, and is the one category this policy treats with zero exceptions.

Acceptable use, what cannot be booked

You may not use MinuteFame to display, and MinuteFame may refuse, remove, or report content that:

  • Depicts, promotes, or solicits child sexual abuse material, or sexualises a minor in any way.
  • Contains a credible threat to kill, injure, or commit violence against a person or group, an offence in its own right under section 16 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861, and priority illegal content under the UK Online Safety Act 2023.
  • Promotes or glorifies terrorism, or provides material support for it.
  • Facilitates fraud, a scam, or the sale of stolen, counterfeit, or illegal goods (including controlled drugs and weapons).
  • Harasses, stalks, or doxxes a person, including publishing someone's home address, phone number, or other private information without their consent.
  • Depicts real, non-consensual, or exploitative sexual content of any kind.
  • Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right. See Copyright & the DMCA.
  • Is discriminatory or incites hatred on the basis of a protected characteristic.
  • Otherwise breaks the law of England and Wales or the law where you are.

This list gives examples; it is not exhaustive. When in doubt, do not book it. If we refuse or remove a minute under this policy, you get a full refund of what you paid. See Payments and refunds. A minute that ran its full 60 seconds as booked and did not break this policy is not refunded.

How this is enforced

Said plainly: we would rather understate what we check than claim tools that are not live.

Today, a person reviews the billboard on a regular check rather than watching every second. We may refuse a booking before it airs, or pull a minute while it is live or afterwards on the Wall of Fame, when we find content that breaks this policy or the law, or when it is brought to our attention. We are building stronger automated checks and a one-tap public Report control; those are not claimed as live on this page until they actually are.

Violating this policy can get a minute refused or removed at any point before, during, or after it airs. Illegal content may be retained as evidence and reported to the police, the UK National Crime Agency, the Internet Watch Foundation, and, for content involving a minor, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), regardless of where you are. Refund consequences are stated under Payments and refunds and on the Refunds page.

Reporting illegal or harmful content

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services, not this website. MinuteFame may remove content that breaks this policy or the law. A one-tap Report control is being built. Until it is live, email support@minutefame.com. See the Rules for the full list of what is refused and removed.

Your content and the licence you grant

You keep ownership of whatever you upload. Booking a minute gives MinuteFame a licence to display it full-screen for that minute, and, only if you separately tick the archive box at checkout, to keep displaying it afterwards on the Wall of Fame, until you ask for it to come down. You confirm that you own the content or have the right to display it, and that displaying it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Workivio Ltd is the merchant for your booking. MinuteFame never sees or stores your card details.

You get a full refund to the original payment method if we refuse your minute before it airs, if we remove it because it broke this policy, if it never appeared because of a failed booking or display fault, or if you cancel before the minute starts. If we pull a minute to check a report and then find it was fine, you get the full refund automatically and a credit for an equivalent minute (same tier) to redeem on any free slot.

If your minute ran for the full 60 seconds as booked and did not break this policy, there is no refund for a change of mind, a wrong file, or a wrong minute.

Refund timing depends on Stripe and your bank. The full policy is at Refunds.

No warranty

MinuteFame is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that content on the billboard is accurate, lawful, or something you agree with. Everything shown is submitted by other users, not by MinuteFame.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MinuteFame is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or from content posted by other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Indemnity

You agree to cover MinuteFame's reasonable costs and losses arising from a claim made by someone else because of content you booked, or because you broke this policy or the law.

Suspension and termination

MinuteFame may refuse a booking, pull a minute already airing, or refuse future bookings from an address, at its discretion, most often for the reasons on this page, but reserved generally.

Privacy, in brief

Booking without an account collects only what the minute needs: the content itself, and, if you leave one, a contact email for your receipt, held separately from anything shown publicly. Payment details go straight to Stripe. If we refuse or remove content under this policy, we may retain the records needed to enforce the rules and meet legal duties, including, where required, evidence of illegal content. We do not claim that every upload is automatically screened before it can be booked. If you create an account, its email and sign-in details are handled by Supabase Auth. Data is not sold. This is a summary; the full notice is at Privacy. For privacy requests, email support@minutefame.com.

Changes to these terms

This page may be updated from time to time; the date at the top says when it last was. Continuing to use MinuteFame after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without taking away any protection a mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you where you live.
