Rules

Last updated 7 October 2026.

MinuteFame is operated by Workivio Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17225310. Registered office: 4th Floor 45 Fitzroy Street, London, United Kingdom, W1T 6EB. Governing law: England and Wales.

MinuteFame is a public digital billboard. Anyone can book exactly 60 seconds of full-screen display of text or an image for £1.00, or £5.00 on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, US Independence Day and Thanksgiving (the 4th Thursday of November). A video minute is £5.00 on any day.

One minute is live at a time, worldwide, with a countdown. Past minutes may appear on the Wall of Fame if the buyer opted in.

Paying does not buy the right to put anything on screen. We refuse or remove a minute that breaks the lines below. A refused or removed minute is refunded in full (see Refunds).

What you confirm when you book

When you book a minute you confirm: this is mine to post, and it follows the rules. That is a tick in the booking flow (unticked by default). It is the representation we rely on when we decide whether to refuse a minute or refund it.

Your content must fit in exactly 60 seconds. A video longer than 60 seconds may be refused. We do not silently clip videos.

Video minutes must be booked at least 24 hours ahead, because a person watches every video before it airs. Nothing automated can check a clip the way it checks a still, so this review is the check. If a video is not cleared before its minute arrives, it does not air and the minute is refunded.

What is allowed

A birthday shout-out, a proposal, a promo, a meme, art, a joke, a personal message, or a short video — if it is yours to post, does not break the hard lines, and fits in 60 seconds.

You must own the text, image or video, or have permission from the person who does. If a real person is identifiable in it, you need their consent.

What we refuse (not booked, not charged, or charged-then-refunded before it goes live)

We will not accept a minute that contains any of the following. If our checks catch it before payment, you are not charged. If we catch it after payment and before it goes live, you are refunded in full and the minute is not displayed.

Hard lines — refuse, remove, do not archive

  1. Minors. Anything sexual, nude, suggestive, exploitative, or abusive involving a person under 18, or any content that sexualises a minor. Also: a real child’s identifiable photo, name, school, address or contact details posted by anyone other than a parent or guardian for a genuine, non-sexual family message (and even then we may refuse if it puts the child at risk). Anything illegal involving a minor is reported to the authorities and escalated internally as P0.
  2. Sexual content and nudity. Pornography, sexual acts, genital or female-nipple nudity, fetish content, sexual services, or a sexual solicitation. Intimate images of anyone without their consent (including “revenge porn”) are refused and, where required, reported.
  3. Hate and harassment. Attacks on a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or serious medical condition. Credible threats, stalking, bullying, or targeted abuse of a named or identifiable person.
  4. A real person’s photo, name, phone number, address, email, workplace or other contact details without their consent. This includes screenshots of private messages and any attempt to send people after someone.
  5. Doxxing. Publishing private or identifying information to intimidate, shame, or cause harm.
  6. Scam or malware links. Phishing, fake giveaways, “investment” or crypto drains, malware, pirated-software keys, or any link whose purpose is to steal money or data. URL shorteners used to hide that purpose are treated the same.
  7. Impersonation. Pretending to be a real person, brand, public figure, or official account in a way that would reasonably fool someone.
  8. Trademarks and copyright. Using someone else’s logo, brand, music, film, or photo as if it were yours, or in a way that suggests they endorse the minute. A brief, obvious parody that does not pass itself off as the brand may be allowed; passing-off is not.
  9. Election and medical claims. Statements that a named election was stolen, that a named candidate committed a crime, or that a specific medicine, treatment or vaccine will cure or kill, presented as fact. Get-out-the-vote or “I support X” is allowed. “Buy this pill, it cures cancer” is not.

Also refused

  • Illegal content of any kind, including terrorism, incitement to violence, sale of weapons or drugs, and fraud.
  • Graphic violence, real gore, or animal cruelty.
  • Spam: the same or near-same minute booked over and over to flood the board.
  • Content whose only purpose is to evade these rules (coded slurs, cropped CSAM, a “joke” that is the hard line with a wink).

What we remove (already live, or already on the Wall of Fame)

If a minute that breaks a hard line is already on screen, we take it down immediately. The rest of that 60 seconds is not shown. It is not added to the Wall of Fame. If it is already on the Wall, we take it down.

A minute that is merely tasteless, badly designed, or a bad joke stays up unless it crosses a hard line.

How a refused minute is refunded

If we refuse your minute before it goes live, or we take it down because it broke this policy, you get the full amount you paid (£1.00 or £5.00) back on the original payment method via Stripe. We do not keep a cut, and we never hand you credit instead of your money back. (If we get a takedown wrong, you get both — full refund and an equivalent-tier credit.)

If the booking failed and your minute never appeared, you are not charged — or any captured payment is refunded in full.

If your minute ran for the full 60 seconds as booked and did not break this policy, there is no refund.

If we take your minute off screen and then find it was fine after all, you get the full amount back automatically, and a credit for an equivalent minute — the same tier you paid for — which you can redeem on any free slot you choose. You do not have to ask for it.

Refund timing depends on Stripe and your bank. See Refunds.

Illegal content and the authorities

Illegal content is refused before display where our checks catch it, and removed if it reaches the screen. Where the law requires it, and where we judge it necessary, we report illegal content — and the booking information we hold about it — to the relevant authorities, and we cooperate with them.

Content involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child is reported to the appropriate authority. We do not negotiate about this, and a refund is not a reason to leave it up.

We do not promise to investigate on your behalf, to tell you the outcome of a report, or to act as a route to law enforcement for a private dispute. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services, not us.

How we monitor the billboard

We are building automated checks that screen every minute before it is displayed, and a one-tap report control that takes a minute in our most serious categories off the screen immediately, at any hour.

Neither is live yet. Until they are, the billboard is reviewed by a person on a regular check rather than continuously, and we act on anything brought to our attention as quickly as we can. We would rather say that plainly than claim a level of monitoring we do not have.

How to report a minute

A one-tap Report control is being built. Until it is live, email support@minutefame.com. We read it every day and we act on anything serious immediately.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services, not this website.

We may refuse at our discretion

These lines are the floor, not a contract that a borderline minute is allowed. We can refuse a minute that is not listed above if showing it would put people, the product, or the payment relationship at risk.

Buying a minute is not a purchase of speech rights on our screen. It is a booking we can decline.
